Summary[]
Athanasia reasons the sole objective of bringing Jennette to the palace was to make sure she assumed the position of Empress. Lost in her thoughts, Athanasia channels the sorrow of her forgotten past as it manifests itself. Worried for her well-being and state of mind, Lucas reveals that although he does not have the fruit, he had kept a branch from the world tree. Caught in a moment of sudden enthusiasm, Athanasia carelessly grabs the branch, causing her to faint as her consciousness is sent to the world tree.
