Summary[]
After Anastacius expresses his sympathy for Jennette being treated indifferently by Athanasia and Claude, Jennette voices her understanding that they are yet to know she is family and she has no desire to take the throne from Athanasia. As she confides her insecurities regarding her lack of magic, Aeternitas replies through Anastacius that Jennette harbours the potential to become an empress loved by her people. A cautious Ijekiel watches their conversation from the window and he questions Anastacius’ motive for spending a lot of time with Jennette. Before Jennette’s departure to the palace, Anastacius furtively sabotages her bracelet gifted by Athanasia. Later, he awakens to Jennette crying at his doorstep about the emperor’s unfortunate fate.
