Summary[]
Grinning with excitement, Athanasia reads Jennette’s newest letter from their exchange. Later, while talking with her father, the pair plans their travel to the port city of Mieta where Jennette resides. Lucas pesters Athanasia to take a break, suggesting they go on a walk. After revealing her new-lengthy lifespan, Lucas describes his life. As he becomes uncomfortable with his brooch, Athanasia offers to help. Lucas watches her closely, leaning in as she finishes removing it from his collar.
