Summary[]
Athanasia opens her eyes to a young Anastacius calling out Claude'sname. He apologizes profusely and the scenery changes, showing a gaze of contempt displayed on Anastacius' face. Athanasia is viewing firsthand her father's memories. She watches the betrayal her father faced, the revenge he sought, and the solitude that followed. Though among the heartache, Athanasia observes the first meeting between her parents. Diana's dazzling smile and bright attire shows the most eminent among her father's memories.
